MGL Group Wins Climate Change Category at County Durham Environment Awards

MGL Group has been crowned the winner of the ‘Responding to Climate Change’ category at the County Durham Environment Awards, organised by the Environment and Climate Change Partnership. This prestigious award recognises our commitment to sustainability.

Our collaboration with Durham County Council through our surfacing framework has delivered various pioneering solutions, including County Durham’s first-ever net zero asphalt scheme. Other initiatives include our anti-skid asphalt Hazigrip® and a sustainable material made from recycled waste, Plastipave®. These innovations have enhanced safety, promoted a circular economy, and are paving the way to net zero.

Across the organisation, we believe in the power of responsible practices to create a better future for our communities. This award is a testament to our team’s hard work and dedication, continuously striving to reduce the environmental impact of all our projects.
