MGL Group recently partnered with Lord Lawson of Beamish Academy to support their careers programme, providing insights into the construction industry for Year 11 students. The event saw members across the organisation joining forces with other local businesses to conduct mock interviews for 220 students, helping them prepare for future career opportunities in work, college, or university.
The session was designed to give pupils a realistic job interview experience, with members of Team MGL offering practical advice and feedback. This initiative is part of our commitment to nurturing future talent and contributing to the development of the local community.
Our social value team also attended a career fair to discuss opportunities in construction with all students, including those in the sixth form. Representatives showcased the diverse range of roles available within the company, from civil engineering and demolition to finance, planning, estimating, HR, and business administration.
We support education and career guidance, ensuring students are well-prepared for life beyond school. By investing in these initiatives, MGL Group helps shape the next generation of professionals and provides a skilled workforce for the future.
