MGL Group is thrilled to announce that Rainton Construction has successfully completed its final major internal concrete pour for the SeAH Wind project. To commemorate this momentous occasion, Chris Sohn, CEO of SeAH Wind Ltd, had the honour of ‘floating off’ the final section and was presented with a special engraved trowel to mark this incredible achievement.
Thank you to the delivery teams for their continued hard work and dedication in reaching this significant milestone. Our dedicated team has poured over 90,000m³ of concrete and installed more than 14,500 tonnes of reinforcement. This milestone reflects the exceptional collaboration and commitment of everyone involved. We are proud to be part of the project delivery team for K2 Construction Management.
Due to be completed in 2025, SeAH Wind’s giant 40-metre-tall, 800m-long monopile factory will be the largest of its kind in the world. Situated on 90 acres of land within the South Bank on the Teesworks site, the project is set to create up to 750 jobs for internal operations, with a further 1,500 indirect jobs in the supply chain during the construction phase.
We have maintained momentum while prioritising safety, sustainability, and social value. As we progress towards completion, we remain committed to working together to deliver this transformative project.
