Paving the way at Beamish

Beamish, the Living Museum of the North, recently opened its 1950s Front Street terrace. It comprises Middleton’s Quality Fish and Chips, John’s Café, No. 2 Front Street, and Elizabeth’s Hairdresser’s, with more exhibits to follow.

It is an opportunity to discover life in a North East town during the mid-20th century.

Utilising early specifications from that time, Tynedale Roadstone has been involved in researching and implementing products to create authentic-looking road surfaces.

We are proud to have contributed to creating amazing exhibits that give visitors a taste of the past.
