MGL Group is proud to have supported the Durham Festival Remembrance, held at Durham Cathedral on Saturday night. The moving concert, in aid of the Army Benevolent Fund, remembers those who have given their lives for their Country, and Service Personnel who put their lives at risk for our liberty today.
This year’s theme commemorated the 80th anniversaries of D-Day and Arnhem while also celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Army Benevolent Fund.
The event featured poignant performances, including spoken word and music, honouring the service and sacrifice of our Armed Forces and veterans. The evening culminated in thousands of poppies falling silently from the cathedral tower.
On Armistice Day, Durham City gathered in the Market Place where wreaths were laid at the Durham Light Infantry Memorial statue and paid respects to those who had served.
We are committed to supporting our Armed Forces community and commemorating the sacrifices of many in conflicts over the years.
