MGL Group employees have taken part in a football fundraiser for Dementia UK. Joe Nicholson, one of our estimators, held a football fixture and sweepstakes competition during the Euros. Team MGL and the whole company were thrilled to join in.
The competition was held to raise money for the charitable organisation that provides nurses to support families and individuals affected by dementia. These nurses are essential and provide key advice and support in many settings, such as in hospitals, clinics, the wider community, and via the Dementia UK Helpline.
We even had a delicious buffet lunch to raise extra funds. Staff brought in items for a lunchtime buffet, and the company also provided a mix of sweet and savoury treats. A prize-giving ceremony was also held for the winner of the football fixtures. Well done, to our Quantity Surveyor, Ian Pearson!
The combined fundraising efforts of the football fixtures, sweepstakes, and buffet collection raised £300. MGL Group generously matched this, meaning the final amount raised was £600.
We are passionate about raising money for charity and donating to worthwhile causes. Through our fundraising, we hope to support those affected by dementia.
