MGL Group was delighted to participate in the Newcastle United Foundation Opportunities Fair, held at the Ashington Connected Hub. The Foundation’s permanent presence within the centre ensures a steady stream of events and opportunities for the local community.
A resounding success, the Ashington Opportunities Fair drew over 130 local job seekers. Hosted in partnership with the Newcastle United Foundation, Northumberland County Council, and Full Circle Food, the event featured 35+ local businesses, organisations, and training providers.
Representing MGL Group, Social Value Manager Greg Chapman promoted our industry to job seekers, highlighting the diverse range of roles available within the construction sector. The relaxed atmosphere of the fair provided an excellent opportunity to browse job opportunities and chat with employers.
As a proud member of the 5% Club, we were excited to showcase the wide range of apprenticeships and training opportunities we offer. By participating in the fair, we were able to highlight the exciting roles available at MGL Group and contribute to boosting employment opportunities across the area.
We’ve previously supported Newcastle United Foundation with employability sessions, and this event was another valuable opportunity to enrich the local community.
