Our groundbreaking partnership with Durham County Council and Low Carbon Materials (LCM) to create the UK’s first Net Zero Asphalt road at Elvet Hill, Durham, marks a significant step towards a sustainable future. This innovative project demonstrates our commitment to reducing the construction industry’s environmental impact.
To further explore the potential of this revolutionary material, we were delighted to host Alex and Katrina from LCM at our Barton asphalt production facility. Collaborative discussions with our Head of Research and Product Development, Dave Whitehouse, ignited new ideas for achieving net zero through innovation.
The visit strengthened our partnership and shared vision for a sustainable future. We are immensely proud of this landmark project, which serves as a blueprint for the industry.
Looking ahead, we are excited to build upon this successful collaboration and explore new opportunities to develop and implement sustainable solutions. By combining our expertise with cutting-edge technology, we are confident in our ability to drive positive change in the construction sector.
It was great to visit MGL Group asphalt production facility in Barton. As innovators Low Carbon Materials (LCM) is always on the lookout for pioneers to drive the low carbon and sustainability agendas forward and we are delighted to have found one at our doorstep.
