Our groundbreaking partnership with Durham County Council and Low Carbon Materials (LCM) to create the UK’s first Net Zero Asphalt road at Elvet Hill, Durham, marks a significant step towards a sustainable future. To further explore the potential of this revolutionary material, we were delighted to host Alex and Katrina from LCM at our Barton asphalt production facility. Collaborative discussions with our Head of Research and Product Development, Dave Whitehouse, ignited new ideas for achieving net zero through innovation.
The visit strengthened our partnership and shared vision for a sustainable future. We are immensely proud of this landmark project, which serves as a blueprint for the industry.
