MGL Demolition welcomed construction students to the Health Innovation Neighbourhood (HIN) site, formerly the Newcastle General Hospital. The team is currently clearing the site for a project that will redefine health, research, and community in the region.
The students observed how we are committed to responsible, safe, and sustainable demolition practices on this complex, large-scale demolition scheme. It was an opportunity to showcase the challenges and the innovative solutions we implemented to prepare the site for the new development. We highlighted our commitment to safe and sustainable demolition, demonstrating how we minimise environmental impact through careful material recycling and responsible practices.
This wasn’t just a site visit; it was an opportunity to inspire. We showcased the diverse and rewarding career paths available within the construction industry. As a proud Gold Member of the 5% Club, we are invested in nurturing the next generation of skilled workers and future-proofing our industry.
Students gained a deeper appreciation for demolition’s crucial role in this transformative development. MGL Demolition is proud to be part of a pioneering scheme for research and innovation that supports people living longer, healthier lives.
