On February 13th, we had the honour of welcoming His Majesty King Charles III to the SeAH Wind facility during his official visit to Teesside. Rainton Construction is part of the project delivery team for K2 Construction Management, undertaking an extensive civil engineering package and playing an integral role in site operations.
As the factory approaches the commencement of commercial production in March, with final installations underway and trial production activities in progress, the King toured the production line. He observed the advanced technological equipment used in manufacturing monopiles and the skilled SeAH Wind employees who operate these state-of-the-art machines.
Coinciding with National Apprenticeship Week, His Majesty spoke with SeAH Wind apprentices from Middlesbrough College and Hartlepool College of Further Education, as well as a group of apprentices, including Henry and John from Rainton Construction. Key members of our project team and senior management were also in attendance.
A commemorative plaque was unveiled, and the King had the opportunity to stand inside the 8-metre diameter steel can, which was rolled and manufactured inside the factory.
It was a privilege to be part of this significant occasion and to welcome His Majesty to our region.
