Tynedale Roadstone specialises in the production of bituminous macadam and asphalt products. We manufacture and self-deliver a wide range of UKCA approved innovative asphalt solutions. All materials are developed, sampled and tested in our purpose built in-house laboratory in accordance with our accredited quality system, British Standards, proprietary specifications and the requirements of Highways England.

Operating throughout the North East of England and Yorkshire we maintain a dedicated team of professionals with a unique combination of experience, technical skill and expertise. Our track record covers a range of business sectors including Local Authorities, House Builders, Developers and Construction Companies. With an uncompromising focus on quality, we ensure cost-effective solutions which deliver the transformational and sustainable change our communities need.

Hard rock quarry at Longhoughton

At our quarry in Northumberland, we produce a wide range of construction materials, all to the relevant BSEN-13242 and SHW-803 criteria. Materials can be purchased via Tynedale Roadstone. We also have two other quarries in the Scottish Borders.

Maximising reuse and recycling

We are a forward-thinking organisation utilising recycling waste that would otherwise go into landfill sites and provide a range of innovative products including Plastipave®. We recycle locally sourced, end-of-use plastic and tyre waste which we then put into our materials and lay on local road networks through our surfacing division, part of Rainton Construction.
