Will joined Tynedale Roadstone as an apprentice at the age of 16. Since then, he has steadily progressed in his career, earning several qualifications, including a Bachelor’s degree in Mineral Management. Today, he is ensures quality standards are maintained across our Rainton Construction sites.
Darren, or Sid as he’s known to his friends, family and colleagues, began his journey at MGL Group as a labourer. The company supported his transition to a plant operator role. Today, with over two decades of experience and an NVQ in a Demolition Plant, Sid is a highly skilled operator, specialising in machinery up to 15m. His dedication to safety, problem-solving, and teamwork has earned him recognition, including being a finalist at the NFDC 2024 awards. Sid’s commitment aligns perfectly with MGL Group’s values and the industry’s high standards.
Sara has supported various business functions within the company and is now a key member of our Social Value team, actively engaging with schools and job seekers through career fairs, mock interviews, and other community initiatives. She is currently pursuing a Level 4 Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Practitioner qualification, demonstrating her commitment to delivering social value across our business. We are proud to support her professional development and align with our family values.
Connah joined the business in 2014 as an apprentice in the accounts team. He quickly took on responsibilities, including payroll and invoicing, while studying for his four-year AAT diploma. Since then, Connah has steadily progressed his career, completing a level-7 ACCA qualification. Today, he is a Certified Chartered Accountant and a valued member of the accounts team.
