Following our recent attendance at the National Armed Forces and Emergency Services Event, our Social Value Manager, Greg Chapman, initiated an exciting new partnership with Building Heroes. The charity was established in 2014 and is dedicated to service leavers, veterans, reservists, and military families. It provides training and employment support for new careers in construction by equipping individuals with a broad range of trade skills and then connecting them with a network of employers.
Their mission is to join forces with Armed Forces leavers, the education sector, and the construction industry, benefiting all concerned. Building Heroes removes the barriers of time and money and provides welfare support and training, leading to national job opportunities.
Recently, Greg was invited to attend a graduation ceremony. This event celebrated the achievements of Build Heroes’ latest cohort of learners who successfully completed their Groundworks/Street Works course certifications.
During the event, Greg provided an overview of MGL Group. He highlighted recent projects, achievements and the range of job opportunities in the organisation. He also discussed the essential skills needed to thrive in the construction industry, offering valuable guidance for those ready to embark on their professional journeys.
The initiative that has made a significant impact on the lives of ex-service personell by providing them with vital skills and experience in the construction industry. We want to congratulate all the graduates on their recent achievements and wish them all the best for their future careers.
