Safely Blasted 23,300 Tonnes of Limestone at Longhoughton Quarry

The team at Longhoughton Quarry has safely and efficiently blasted 23,300 tonnes of Limestone. The material will be crushed into high-quality aggregate.

Last month, 14,498 tonnes of Whinstone were blasted using 4,987 kg of explosives. The holes were double-decked with two detonators and boosters to minimise the vibration.

Our operations work within blasting parameters to meet all relevant restrictions and are monitored at every stage.
