Our Tynedale Roadstone team recently hosted senior representatives from the aviation sector and its supply chain at our Barton Asphalt Production Facility. It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase our commitment to sustainable construction and highlight our work with Low Carbon Materials (LCM). Their innovative carbon-negative aggregate is incorporated into MGL Group’s pioneering Net Zero Asphalt.
During the visit, we discussed this innovative material and demonstrated how it’s contributing to a real, tangible reduction in our carbon footprint. We also took our visitors to a project site in County Durham, where our in-house surfacing division, part of Rainton Construction, laid the material. Seeing the Net Zero Asphalt in action showcased the potential for this technology to transform our industry.
The feedback we received was positive and a fantastic opportunity to highlight the power of collaboration. Seeing so much enthusiasm for sustainable solutions is genuinely inspiring, and we believe this visit will spark even more innovation across the sector. We’re passionate about driving progress towards net zero emissions and are thrilled to play a leading role in this journey to decarbonise the built environment.
