Inspiring the Next Generation: Chloie's Work Experience at MGL Group

We were thrilled to welcome Chloie, a local Year 11 student, to Davison House, our Durham Head Office, for a week’s work experience. Chloie, who is interested in Social Value, proactively arranged the placement to understand potential career paths in the construction industry.

This was a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase how MGL Group makes a tangible difference beyond our core services, highlighting our commitment to building a sustainable and equitable society.

During the week, she shadowed our social value manager, Greg Chapman, and even joined him at two career fairs to experience the role firsthand. She also collaborated with our marketing team, exploring project photography and drone footage, and contributed to website and social media content. Plus, she worked with our bid team, gaining valuable insights into how Social Value is integrated into our project proposals.

Chloie’s enthusiasm was truly impressive, and we were particularly struck by her proactive approach. We’re delighted she had such a positive learning experience with us and wish her every success for the future!
