As part of our commitment, we recently attended the County Durham Pound Social Value Business Exchange, an event that provided valuable insights and explored opportunities for collaboration.
The initiative, established by Durham County Council, aims to maximise the value of every pound spent in the area by leveraging procurement and supply chain opportunities. This collaborative effort among various organisations focuses on key objectives such as generating local job opportunities, decreasing environmental impact, offering meaningful training and upskilling, assisting community groups and charities, and prioritising better health and wellbeing.
During the session, we engaged with other local businesses and stakeholders to discuss working together to maximise our positive impact on the community.
