MGL Group Construction Academy

At MGL Group, we are passionate about training and upskilling our workforce, creating opportunities, supporting young people and promoting careers within the construction industry. 

Our sector-based Construction Academy, in partnership with Derwentside College, is an opportunity for young people to learn a new trade and join the Rainton Construction team based in County Durham.

As part of a workshop, we met with our group of unemployed learners. The enthusiasm from the male and female potential employees was fantastic, and we’re looking forward to progressing the programme. This will be an opportunity for the students to gain new skills and have the potential to secure employment.

We have a longstanding relationship with the college. We have attended various career events, including site visits and apprenticeship fairs, and hosted workshops and seminars on working in the construction industry and the opportunities across our organisation.
