This International Women’s Day (March 8th), MGL Group is proud to celebrate the incredible women who make up Team MGL. The IWD 2022 campaign theme is Break the Bias, and we are highlighting the exciting career opportunities for women and girls in construction.
A diverse workforce is essential to and we actively support initiatives that create inclusive work cultures where everyone can thrive. This also coincides with Women in Construction Week, which celebrates women’s achievements and inspires the next generation.
Meet some of our team:
- Victoria, SHEQ Advisor: Victoria keeps everyone safe and healthy through tailored health and wellbeing programmess, promoting positive mental health for all employees.
- Emily, Trainee Quantity Surveyor: Emily gains valuable experience working on various Group projects and overseeing smaller schemes. This September, she’ll begin a degree apprenticeship at Northumbria University.
- Ellie, Assistant Quantity Surveyor and Industry Leader: Ellie, the North East Apprenticeship Ambassador Network Vice Chair, inspires young people to pursue careers in construction. She’s also the winner of the Civil Engineering Contractors Association (CECA) Awards Most Promising Trainee Quantity Surveyor in 2021!
Our commitment to women in construction extends throughout the year, and we host events like mock interviews, career fairs, and online sessions to celebrate, educate, and promote the built environment.
