Rainton Construction, working as part of the delivery team for Morgan Sindall Infrastructure, played a crucial role in the Northumberland Line project by successfully delivering essential civil engineering and groundworks for the new cycle bridge over the A189 at Blyth Bebside.
The bridge, now safely in place, will provide pedestrians and cyclists with a convenient connection to Blyth Bebside Station. Our team’s dedication and expertise ensured that the installation was completed on schedule, without any modifications or changes to the original design.
This milestone marks a significant step towards reinstating passenger rail services across South East Northumberland, a region that hasn’t seen trains since the 1960s. The Northumberland Line will revitalise local communities, boost the economy, and reduce car traffic by providing improved transport links.
We’re proud to contribute to this transformative project and to help shape the future of travel in the North East.
