Awards

Celebrating our success

Awards are a celebration of everything the UK’s Built Environment has to offer and an opportunity to inspire, engage and bring people together to form partnerships and share ideas. It is also a platform to recognise the hard work of our people who are key to our success. We have received a number of accolades at prestigious industry ceremonies which showcase our commitment to retaining the highest quality standards.

Our awards are recognition of our proven capabilities to deliver challenging schemes safely, on time and on budget. Showcasing our projects, teams, and individuals who are championing innovation, sustainability and community impact to add real value. We are so proud of our achievements, it’s a real testament to teamwork.

World Demolition Awards

MGL Demolition was recognised internationally for our work on Pilgrim’s Quarter in Newcastle City Centre. This complex project involved demolishing multiple structures in a busy urban area and a Grade II-listed façade was retained. Our innovative approach, detailed planning, and commitment to safety and sustainability ensured the project’s successful completion on time and within budget. The project also generated significant local economic benefits. We were delighted to win this award at the event in Stockholm, Sweden.

We were shortlisted for our work decontaminating and demolishing the former RCOBP Plant. This complex project involved handling toxic and flammable materials in a challenging site. Our innovative approach ensured safe and efficient demolition. By prioritising local employment and minimising hazardous waste, we contributed to the redevelopment of Teesworks, one of the UK’s largest industrial zones.
