MGL Demolition is working with Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council to demolish the long-empty Swallow Hotel. Our skilled team is dismantling the seven-storey building.
As part of the next stage of Castlegate Centre site transformation, the side of the hotel closest to the High Street will be demolished first, followed by the remainder by late January.
Once complete, the site will make way for Stockton Waterfront, an urban park and riverside plaza. The site’s southern end will also be home to new leisure, health, and community facilities, including a new leisure centre, library, NHS facility, and customer service centre.
The waterfront development will be completed by 2025, offering accessible space for community events and playing host to Stockton’s world-class events programme.
