Empowering Students Through CV Writing & Mock Interviews

Our partnership with Lawson of Beamish has allowed us to enhance our careers programme at the Academy. To date, we have delivered a range of events, including mock interviews, attending careers fairs and hosting interactive sessions.

Recently, we have been preparing Year 11 students for their future in the workforce or further education.

Through our sessions, over 250 students have gained practical skills in CV design, cover letter writing, job applications, and interviews. We finished the session with a mock interview to put the students’ newfound skills into practice.

This has showcased the diverse career opportunities in construction and apprenticeships, promoting earn-and-learn schemes.

We are proud to be shaping careers education in the North East and equipping students for life after school.
