MGL Demolition Engages with Benedict Court Residents

MGL Demolition is committed to keeping residents informed and involved as we progress with the demolition of Sunderland’s Civic Centre. Our team recently met with residents at Benedict Court, a sheltered accommodation facility near the demolition site.

We understand the importance of minimising disruption for neighbouring communities.  Asbestos Contracts Manager Chris Logan and Project Manager Barry Watson led the session. They provided an overview of the demolition process and addressed any questions from residents. The open forum ensured residents felt informed and comfortable throughout the project.

After the session, we provided refreshments for residents and donated a hamper for their raffle, fostering a positive and collaborative relationship.

The demolition of the Civic Centre paves the way for the development of 265 new homes. MGL Demolition remains dedicated to clear communication and responsible demolition practices throughout the project.
